This week’s Dancing On Ice Result: Ricky Hatton is voted off

Ricky Hatton has been eliminated from ‘Dancing On Ice’, expressing disappointment at being the first celebrity to exit the show. Despite facing Lou Sanders and her partner Brendyn Hatfield in the skate-off, Ricky and his partner Robin Johnstone failed to impress the judges.

Following the decision, Ricky expressed his disappointment, stating, “I’m gutted to be going home. I’ve always aimed to be a winner in everything I do, and though it’s been a while since I saw the second round, I’ll carry on skating. I’ve had a great time and made wonderful friends. Thanks to Robin and the coaches for their hard work. Despite leaving in the first round, I’ll be going home happy.”

All four judges unanimously chose to save Lou and Brendyn. Ashley Banjo praised both couples but ultimately saved Lou and Brendyn based on their improved performance. Oti Mabuse voted for the strongest skate with the most content. Christopher Dean acknowledged Ricky’s emotional performance but emphasized that it’s about the skating, ultimately saving Lou and Brendyn. Head judge Jayne Torvill confirmed she would have also chosen to send Ricky and Robin home, citing a much better performance from the other pair.

The upcoming episode on Sunday will feature all 11 remaining pairs performing for Movie Week, following the initial two weeks where the couples were split into two groups of six.
