BBC One’s 2023 Christmas schedules confirmed

The schedules for BBC One during Christmas this year have been confirmed today.

On Christmas Eve, there’s a special edition of Countryfile at 6pm, followed by Christmas Antiques Roadshow at 7pm before a new episode of The Repair Shop at Christmas at 8pm.

At 9pm, the Beyond Paradise Christmas Special. That’s followed by Not Doing Out. Midnight Mass at 11.45pm comes from Portsmouth Cathedral.

On Christmas Day, new animation Tabby McTatt is on at 2.40pm before The King’s Speech. That’s followed by Toy Story 4, Strictly Come Dancing and at 5.55pm, brand new Doctor Who.

Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Wheel airs at 6.50pm then it’s the final episode of Ghosts at 7.45pm. Call The Midwife follows at 8.15pm before a huge episode of EastEnders at 9.45pm. New Mrs Brown’s Boys is on at 10.45pm.

On Boxing Day, the live action version of The Lion King is on at 5.05pm before Charles III: The Coronation Year at 6.50pm. EastEnders is on at 8.25pm then Death In Paradise airs at 9pm.

Other highlights in Christmas week include new Agatha Christie drama Murder Is Easy at 9pm on 27th and 28th. On 29th at 9pm, new drama Men Up explores a bunch of Welsh guys testing out viagra.

Casualty returns at 9pm 30th and New Year’s Eve highlights include The Graham Norton Show with guests Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Claudia Winkleman, Nadiya Hussain and Rob Brydon.

On New Year’s Day, Jamie Dornan’s thriller The Tourist returns for its second season at 9pm. Today it was also announced that The Traitors returns on January 3rd.
