Emma Bunton surprises with Heart radio announcement

Emma Bunton has made a huge announcement to listeners of the UK’s most listened to commercial radio station, Heart, at which she has worked since 2009.

The Spice Girl surprised fans on social media, telling them she’s going to be on the air every day this week, filling in for Kelly Brook alongside Jason King, known as JK. She made the announcement just before going on air at 4pm.

Emma can usually be heard at the weekends, where she has presented a popular Sunday evening show since leaving the Breakfast Show back in 2018. When she left the morning programme which she hosted alongside Jamie Theakston, she said “Wow. What an awesome five years I’ve had … I can truthfully say that I’ve laughed my head off every single day”.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I say farewell to Heart Breakfast listeners”.

“Plus, Jamie’s made me promise to call-in to him on the breakfast show with ‘Spice-y news’ and other updates, which of course I will!”
