Dakota Johnson to discuss Madame Web on The Graham Norton Show

Dakota Johnson will guest on The Graham Norton Show on Friday 2 February, it has been confirmed.

Dakota will join Graham to discuss her brand new film, Madame Web, which is part of the Spider-Man Universe. In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures…if they can all survive a deadly present.

As well as Dakota, also joining Graham on 2nd Feb is Sterling K. Brown (Randall from This Is Us), starring in the critically acclaimed satire American Fiction.

American Fiction is Cord Jefferson’s hilarious directorial debut, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. Jeffrey Wright stars as Monk, a frustrated novelist who’s fed up with the establishment profiting from “Black” entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, Monk uses a pen name to write an outlandish “Black” book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.

There’s also music from Paul Russell, who performs his current single, the viral hit Lil Boo Thang.

Watch the episode on BBC One or iPlayer from 10.35pm.
