Andrew Scott fans can now watch Netflix’s Ripley trailer, here

Netflix’s Ripley Teaser Trailer is here

The eagerly awaited trailer for the upcoming Netflix series “Ripley,” set to premiere on April 4, has been released, giving fans a glimpse into the world of deceit and intrigue. The series stars Andrew Scott and follows a storyline reminiscent of the film “The Talented Mr. Ripley.”

In this Netflix adaptation, Ripley finds himself hired by a wealthy benefactor to persuade the wanderlust-stricken Dickie Greenleaf to return home from Italy. However, the tables turn as Tom becomes captivated by the allure of Dickie’s lavish lifestyle and goes to great lengths to secure his own place beside him.

Today, Netflix unveiled a trailer for the enthralling drama, teasing viewers with a logline that reads, “Tom’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud, and murder.” This narrative, spanning multiple episodes, allows Executive Producer Steve Zaillian, an Academy Award winner known for “The Irishman” and “The Night Of,” to remain faithful to the intricate storytelling and nuances of Patricia Highsmith’s work.

In a December interview with Vanity Fair, Zaillian discussed his approach to the adaptation, expressing his desire to be true to Highsmith’s vision. He even revealed that he shot the series in “gorgeous” black and white to align with the edition of the Ripley book he had on his desk.

Actor Andrew Scott, who takes on the challenging role of Ripley, shared insights with Variety about the demanding nature of the character. He admitted, “I found it mentally and physically really hard. That’s just the truth of it.” Scott emphasized the need to approach the character without being swayed by preconceived notions, stating, “You have to throw all those out, try not to listen to them, and go, ‘Okay, well, I have to have the courage to create our own version and my own understanding of the character.'”

As the excitement builds, fans can mark April 4 on their calendars for the premiere of “Ripley” on Netflix.

Gugu emphasized the importance of stretching oneself in the industry and working with different artists to expand one’s skill set. Kevin added that comedy is harder than drama, as it relies on the audience’s laughter.

The interview also delved into Gugu’s ‘full circle moment’ filming on South Bank, London, where she used to work as a tour guide, a story Kevin praised as a testament to maintaining grounding despite success.
