Jodie Foster and Lorraine Kelly confirmed for The Graham Norton Show

Jodie Foster and Lorraine Kelly are among the latest names confirmed for this season of The Graham Norton Show.

The lineup for the episode to air on Friday 16 February has been confirmed, and it will see Jodie Foster take to the sofa to discuss her critically acclaimed drama True Detective: Night Country, currently airing on Sky.

In the series, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

Lorraine Kelly will be on the show to discuss her debut novel, The Island Swimmer. The poignant debut novel from much-loved broadcaster Lorraine Kelly, The Island Swimmer revolves around lonely Evie and the friendship she finds with a group of cold-water swimmers on Orkney.

As Evie clears out her father’s neglected house to prepare it for sale, lonely Evie finds herself drawn to a group of cold-water swimmers led by her old friend Freya, who find calmness beneath the waves. Together they help Evie face up to the mistakes in her past, unlocking a treasure of truths that will reverberate through the community, and shake her family to its core.

Inspired by her passion for the Orkney islands and its people, The Island Swimmer is the captivating debut novel about the importance of being true to yourself from the popular morning broadcast.

Also on the show, Oscar winner Olivia Colman, talking about her new mystery comedy Wicked Little Letters. The film’s synopsis reads “When people in Littlehampton–including conservative local Edith–begin to receive letters full of hilarious profanities, rowdy Irish migrant Rose is charged with the crime. Suspecting that something is amiss, the town’s women investigate”.

And that’s not all, because omedy great Wanda Sykes, whose new Netflix special is Wanda Sykes: I’m an Entertainer will also be joining Graham in the studio.
