Review: Hotel Rixos The Premium Dubai JBR ★★★★★

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR is a stylish urban hotspot located in the heart of Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence.

The hotel offers 414 stylish rooms and suites featuring a private beach, state of the art conference and banquet venues, as well as a total of 9 award-winning dining outlets. Guests can enjoy authentic international cuisine at Turquoise, the hotel’s signature all-day dining restaurant, tantalize taste buds with an authentic Greek dishes at Ammos Restaurant, relish their favorite coee and chocolate creations with sunset views at its best at Godiva Café or just unwind at Azure Beach with its pool, beach and outdoor lounge facilities.

Guests are spoilt for choice of world renowned brands such as STK Restaurant; Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes; Lock, Stock & Barrel; Asil Restaurant and Luigia Ristorante upending this vibrant hotel as a leading culinary destination. The hotel includes a state-of-the-art fitness centre, RixGym with floor-to-ceiling views of the azure Arabian Gulf, as well as Natureland spa known for its signature Turkish Hammam. Guests can have a luxury shopping experience in-house at the high-end boutiques Rodeo Drive, Via Rodeo and Ocean Drive.

Our Verdict

We stayed in the hotel for one night in November, 2022. Our first impressions of the hotel were very positive. Walking through a small mall, we then found ourselves in the hotel lobby with a smart coffee bar, various restaurant entrances and a long check-in desk. The staff were extremely helpful in getting us checked in without a hassle and with minimum wait.

The Room

We stayed in a room which boasted a King sized bed and the most stunning views across the sea. When we looked down, we could see the excellent swimming pool area and outdoor restaurant and when we looked up, we could see across the bay looking straight at the magnificent big wheel. The view was breathtaking.

The room itself was very generously sized and extremely comfortable! The bed was exceptional, we enjoyed a large TV, coffee making facilities and a huge sofa and desk!

The bathroom was first class, with a huge walk-in shower and stand-alone bath.

The room offered the ULTIMATE in comfort and we only wish we could have slept in it for many more nights!

The Facilities

The hotel really comes into its own in its outdoor space. Two massive and stunning towers overlook a HUGE swimming pool, and a second one specifically for families. There are LOADS of sun loungers, sofas and seating areas and even private spas available! Keep walking and you’ll come to the hotel’s private beach which goes right up to the sea and again, boasts many sun loungers.

When we visited, the area was busy yet there were plenty of spaces for everyone to sit (or lie). The outdoor drinks service was also excellent, with the friendly waiting staff coming over in no time to take our order.

The location of the hotel is second to none meaning you’re right by shops, restaurants, cafe bars and so much more. We couldn’t fault it.

The Restaurants

There are plenty of places to eat in the Rixos. We ate in the Turquoise Restaurant, a beautiful International Restaurant with an unbelievably generous choice. There were options here for everyone – fresh seafood, noodles, curries, meats, cheese, bread, salads, grains… we were SO spoilt for choice and everything really was cooked to perfection.

We were lucky to get an outdoor seat, offering excellent views and a brilliant ambiance. The Ibiza-style chilled beats really made for the perfect vibe and we couldn’t be more impressed.

Again, at breakfast, the choice is sensational. From waffles and crepes, to fresh omlettes, eggs benedict, breads, fruit and many hot choices, it really is a feast to behold. The food is fresh, delicious and looks magnificent. Coffee is made to order, just as you like it.

The Rixos enables you to start your day feeling like a King!

The Night Life

Oh my word! The hotel has it’s own pub, Lock, Stock and Barrell which is HUGE. It literally feels like the set of TFI Friday, set across two tiers with tonnes of seating available. A live DJ plays absolute belters whilst the army of waiting staff are on hand to ensure there are no long waits for drinks. The menu is out of this world, with a massive choice of beers, wines, spirits and some VERY special cocktails.

The vibe in the place lifted the roof, with a brilliant party atmosphere. We actually cancelled our plans to move on to somewhere else because this place was so good.

We’ve never been to a more impressive hotel and can’t recommend it enough.
