Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping is back for a second series, tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.

Johnny Vegas is back and is on a mission to relaunch his Field of Dreams glamping site following the success of his last venture, in this entertaining series narrated by Sian Gibson.

This time he’s dreaming of a bigger and better campsite, full of his unique saved and upcycled vehicles, as well as some new additions.

In search of the perfect location, Johnny and his long-suffering assistant Bev travel the country on an adventure packed with tragedy, farce, and highs and lows. It’s time to buckle up, keep calm, and carry on glamping! In this first episode, Johnny and Bev take to the road on the hunt for their new site.

They scope out an old racecourse in East Sussex and even visit Jimmy Doherty’s Farm and Wildlife Park in Suffolk in the hope of finding the right spot, where Jimmy has lots of questions about Johnny’s business plan. Although the search for a new location is still ongoing, the Yorkshire site must be cleared, and getting Patricia and the other vehicles off-site is as tricky as it was getting them on.

Meanwhile, Johnny is up to his old tricks and, with the help of aeronautical-engineer-turned-furniture-designer Stu, cuts a deal to buy a dilapidated Puma helicopter to convert into a glamping pod. But the Puma needs a lot of work and Stu isn’t sure how to move it, let alone where to start on the refurbishment.
