Humax TV Tonight: Big Boys

Big Boys is back for a brand new series tonight at 10pm on Channel 4, with a double-bill of episodes.

Jack Rooke’s critically-acclaimed comedy centring on young gay man Jack (Dylan Llewellyn) and his best mate, lads’ lad Danny (Jon Pointing), as they navigate the ups and downs of university life returns. It’s summer 2014, and the gang are celebrating Jack’s dead dad’s 60th birthday.

While grappling with having nowhere to live for second year, Jack has an eye-opening gay encounter in the toilets. Meanwhile, Danny tries to woo Corinne (Izuka Hoyle), and cousin Shannon (Harriet Webb) gets a huge shock.

In the second episode at 10.30pm, Jack (Dylan Llewellyn) and Danny (Jon Pointing) desperately try to pull a fresher, while Corinne (Izuka Hoyle) and Yemi (Olisa Odele) succeed in their sexual pursuits. However, a big secret is yet to be revealed. Peggy (Camille Coduri) convinces Shannon (Harriet Webb) to contact her mystery one-night stand.

The Show’s creator, Jack Crooke said: “Big Boys is a semi-autobiographical comedy drama, where I’m trying to make a sweet show about friendship with some bitchy, funny, and catty jokes and an underlying feeling of why family and chosen family is so important and how friends can often become just as important as family members. And how when you’re trying to learn about yourself, sometimes it’s nice to choose the people who go on that experience with you and help you to define and become who you are”.
