Liam Gallagher and Vicky McClure confirmed for The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show

Liam Gallagher and Vicky McClure will be among the guests on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Friday, 26 January.

Liam will guest alongside John Squire, with whom he’s teamed up for on his massive new single, Just Another Rainbow. They’ll be talking about collaborating on this, together with another new track which will also drop next week. The tracks come from a joint album, which will be released later this year.

Liam previously said: “There’s 10 [songs] on the album, but we’ve done eight. We demoed eight of them in John’s studio and then John done another two songs and we recorded them for the first time.

“Sang them for the first time out in America in LA. It hasn’t got a title as such. It’s just Liam and John, like Liam Gallagher and John Squire, really.”

Vicky will be in the studio to talk about season 2 of her hit ITV drama Trigger Point. Starring Vicky in the lead role as police bomb disposal officer – or Expo  – Lana Washington, the second series also features returning cast members Nabil Elouahabi (Unforgotten, The Tower) as Hass, Eric Shango (Suspicion) as Danny, Mark Stanley (Happy Valley, The Thief, His Wife and The Canoe) as DI Thom Youngblood, Kerry Godliman (After Life, Whitstable Pearl) as Sonya Reeves, Kris Hitchen (Four Lives) as John and Kevin Eldon (Sanditon) as Jeff.

It also features new cast members Natalie Simpson (North Sea Connection, Outlander) who plays DS Helen Morgan, Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton) who plays Commander John Francis and Tomiwa Edun as Alex (Young Wallander, Trying).

The first series, which focused on the Expo officers in the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad, was commissioned by ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill, and was the best performing drama of 2022, averaging 9.5m viewers per episode.

Also joining Zoe on the show will be acclaimed actress Alison Steadman, who’ll talk about the return of BBC sitcom ‘Here We Go’.

Created by and starring Tom Basden (After Life), the highly anticipated second series is coming soon to BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The outstanding cast reprising their roles includes Jim Howick (Ghosts), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd) and Alison Steadman (Gavin & Stacey) alongside Freya Parks, Jude Collie, Mica Ricketts and Tori Allen-Martin (London Kills).

Hailed by The Independent as the ‘comedy everyone should be watching’ and as a ‘comic masterpiece’ by The Telegraph, the series will continue to follow the Jessops’ successes and failures as they try and navigate life’s many challenges. Each episode offers an intimate, heart-warming slice of a modern British family doing its best, albeit winding others up in the process.
