Jordan North’s next career move confirmed

Jordan North’s next career move has been confirmed, following his immediate exit from BBC Radio 1 last week.

The 34 year old DJ will be back on air as soon as this week. ITV has confirmed the former I’m A Celeb camp-mate will once again be part of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which is returning this Saturday to ITV1.

Jordan will once again be surprising viewers around the UK as part of the popular series. The news comes amidst mounting speculation that Jordan is going to be announced as the new presenter of Capital Breakfast when Roman Kemp steps down.

In the meantime, he’ll be busy alongside Ant and Dec on Saturday nights from 7pm.

ITV say “The upcoming 20th series will have loads of brand new high octane challenges, hilarious hidden camera set ups, new studio games and live surprises, but will also be a momentous magical celebration of all things Takeaway from over the years.

Highlights coming up in the live launch show next weekend include Stephen Merchant as the Guest Announcer, the unveiling of our brand new little Ant & Dec, a must watch and hilarious Simon Cowell ‘Undercover’ and a special End of the Show Show with Becky Hill and Urban Theory.  

Later in the series there’s an unmissable ‘Get Out Of Me Ear: The Revenge’; where celebrities who have been hidden camera victims of Ant & Dec over the years get their revenge by turning the tables on them and being in their ears…it will be guaranteed chaos!

A host of new celebrity faces will be taking up Guest Announcer duties again, and every show will sign off in spectacular style when some of the world’s biggest and best performers take to the Takeaway stage for a one-off performance in the End of the Show Show, as the only series on TV that lets its audience ‘Win The Ads’ continues to be the happiest ninety minutes of the week.

With a series finale to conclude the show unlike any Takeaway has ever done before, expect unmissable live entertainment from start to finish, as Saturday night’s most feel-good series returns to kick start the weekend with a bang.”  

Jordan won’t be returning to Radio 1 and will be replaced by Jamie Laing.
