Love Island All Stars Latest: Jake Cornish quits
Jake Cornish, a 26-year-old participant, has officially left ‘Love Island: All Stars.’ Initially part of the 12 former Islanders featured in the show’s launch night episode on Monday (15.01.24), Jake experienced an uncomfortable reunion with his ex and season seven co-star, Liberty Poole. The unexpected encounter led to Jake’s decision to exit the South African villa.
According to a source quoted by The Sun newspaper, Jake was taken aback upon seeing Liberty in the villa, as they had no prior knowledge of each other’s participation. It became evident early on that a romantic reconciliation was unlikely, and when none of the girls expressed interest in pairing up with him, Jake spent three days in the villa before having an emotional conversation with Maya Jama.
Ultimately, Jake chose to quit the show, with the source explaining that it wasn’t his time to find love. Despite their past as early favorites in series seven, Jake and Liberty’s relationship had dissolved during a dramatic Movie Night episode, leading them to exit the series just days before the final.
In the ‘All Stars’ series, Jake and Liberty were initially coupled up by public vote, along with other pairings like Anton Danyluk and Hannah, Chris Taylor and Demi, Luis Morrison and Georgia H, Mitchel Taylor and Kaz, and Toby Aromolaran with his former flame Georgia S from the ‘Love Island Games’ series.
Liberty, anticipating potential encounters with exes in the ‘All Stars’ villa, had acknowledged the potential awkwardness but expressed her focus on her own journey and the goal of finding love.
