How are tickets allocated?

Staging Radio 1’s Big Weekend each year would be impossible without the help and support of our council partners. A number of tickets (Pot 1) will initially be reserved for Luton Borough Council residents; with a second set of tickets (Pot 2) reserved for postcodes from the surrounding areas. The remainder of the tickets (Pot 3) will be unreserved and available to anyone in the UK.

To secure tickets from Pots 1 & 2 you will need to enter the postcode of your home address at the time of purchase. Anyone breaking the rules and regulations governing the ticket purchasing process may have any purchased tickets cancelled without notice.

Tickets will be divided into three ‘pots’:

Pot 1 – 40% of tickets will initially be reserved for postcodes LU1 – LU4. Tickets will be reserved in Pot 1 for seven days after being made available, after which any unsold will be offered for general sale.

Pot 2 – 30% of tickets will initially be reserved for those in surrounding areas. This includes remaining LU postcodes (LU5 – LU7), all Hemel Hempstead ‘HP’ postcodes, all Milton Keynes ‘MK’ postcodes, all Stevenage ‘SG’ postcodes and St Albans ‘AL’ postcodes. Tickets will be reserved in Pot 2 for seven days after being made available, after which any unsold will be offered for general sale.

Pot 3 – The remaining 30% of tickets will be unreserved.
