BBC confirms Michael McIntyre’s Big Show return details

Michael McIntyre’s Big Show returns to BBC One on Saturday 13 January, it has been confirmed.

The entertainment show forms part of a brand new Saturday night lineup for the channel, which also includes the return of iconic physical gameshow Gladiators.

Bafta award winner Michael McIntyre returns with his Big Show at 6.50pm after Gladiators and Before The Weakest Link. It was filmed at London’s prestigious Theatre Royal Drury Lane last year.

Michael McIntyre says “There isn’t a day that goes by without someone telling me how much they love this show, although strangely nobody seems to know what it’s called. It’s either; ’The one where you take people’s phones’, ’The one where you wake people up in the night’, ’The one where the wall falls down’ or ’The Big Night in’. Well, I’m thrilled to announce that all four of those shows are set to return for a seventh series!”

In the first episode, National treasure Bradley Walsh is rudely awakened in The Midnight Gameshow, comedian and champion of the people Joe Lycett hands over his phone for a Send to All like no other, an incredibly deserving Unexpected Star of the Show shares the stage with a mystery guest, and Beverley Knight gives a spectacular musical performance.

Celebrities will start to get nervous as fan favourites Send to All and The Midnight Gameshow will return. Last series saw Rylan Clarke, Alison Hammond, Jermaine Jenas and Jonathan Ross amongst others hand over control of their phones, who will let Michael scroll through their handset this time?
