Two new episodes of brilliant fly-on-the-wall series Fresh Cops are on BBC Three tonight from 9pm.

Lukasz runs towards a dangerously evolving incident. As his colleagues battle to control a man who’s allegedly attacked someone, Lukasz gets hands on very quickly and makes a quick decision with consequences for one of his colleagues.

Jake finds himself called upon to deal with a young boy who’s put himself in real danger. It’s a delicate operation that requires a swift but thoughtful intervention. Jake has no option but to try and draw from personal experience.

Home grown Leicester cop Stacy and her partner in fighting crime Jack hit the town. The shift starts in high spirits but things quickly take a serious turn as Stacy’s CPR skills are put to the test in a real life or death situation.

Fresh cop Philippa is faced with a heavy duty domestic incident despite only being nine weeks into her career as a PC. Back with Lukasz we’re driving to another cliffhanger, a car is going the wrong way down a main road. Initial suspicions are drink or drugs but assumptions are often miles off…

In the second episode at 9.30pm, Lukasz continues to chase down a driver on the wrong side of a main road in an area full of students. Who he finds behind the wheel is a big surprise and Lukasz’s relative lack of life experience is challenged.

Jake hits the night-time economy armed with a special walkie talkie that puts him one step ahead of his colleagues. Helping deal with an aggressive male, Jake displays a maturity beyond his years, although he can do little to stop his ‘head sweat’ throughout.

Khadeejah and Aarifah discuss Aarifah’s Welsh background, before they’re called to a suspected drink driver…and deal with welcome and unwelcome contributions from the public.

Lukasz gets called to stabbing at a party, a statement is needed from a key witness whose first language is Polish. Up steps Lukasz, hoping on this occasion he’ll get listened to.
