Kings Of Leon to co-host Jo Whiley’s Radio 2 show

This Monday night from 8pm, Jo Whiley is joined by Nathan and Matt from Kings Of Leon to co-host the Radio 2 evening show, chat about their new album Can We Please Have Fun out on 10th May, and pick some of their favourite music!

Formed in Nashville in 1999, Kings Of Leon is brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew. The band gained mainstream success with their third album Because of the Times (2007) and the chart-topping follow-up Only by the Night (2008) — which featured breakthrough singles Sex on Fire and Use Somebody. Having made their debut in 2003, the band have now released eight albums, sold more than 20 million records worldwide, won several Grammy Awards and two BRIT Awards.

Now, Kings Of Leon return with their ninth album, Can We Please Have Fun, out on 10th May. Ahead of the album’s release and live dates in the UK this summer, including a BST Hyde Park headline show, Kings Of Leon join Jo in the studio to talk about the new music, tell us what they’ve been up to in the last few years and hand-pick some of their favourite music!
