Roman Kemp, Maya Jama and Clara Amfo are your 2024 BRIT Awards hosts

Trio replace Mo Gilligan as presenters of the BRITS 2024 on ITV

Roman Kemp, Maya Jama and Clara Amfo will host the 2024 BRIT Awards on ITV has been confirmed.

The popular presenters will front the live awards show on Saturday 2 March, to be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.

Roman is best known as presenter of Capital Breakfast, the national radio show on Global’s Capital FM. No stranger to presenting huge music events, he’s introduced many Capital Summertime and Jingle Bell Balls to date. He’s also one of the hottest properties in TV, presenting The One Show, The Finish Line and Get Britain Singing.

Maya Jama has previously hosted shows for BBC Radio 1 and is now best known for hosting ITV2’s Love Island. Clara Amfo is host of BBC Radio 1’s evening show.

2024 BRIT Awards on ITV

In 2024, The BRITs expanded the nominee pool for Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year, increasing it from five to ten—a deliberate move to enhance representation and inclusivity. Over half (55%) of the 2024 BRITs nominations highlight women, either as solo artists or part of all-woman groups, and this percentage rises to 57% when considering women in mixed-gender groups.

Introducing a new genre award category, R&B Act, for 2024, alongside Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Pop Act, and Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, collectively showcases the versatility, creativity, and diverse musical styles in the UK.

Genre award winners will be determined by a public vote exclusively through Instagram, open from Thursday, February 1st, at 12 noon, to Thursday, February 15th, at 6 pm.

To vote, fans can visit the BRITs page on Instagram (@BRITs) and comment on their chosen Reel category using an artist-specific hashtag, or create a Reel using the @BRITs tag and the artist-specific # in the caption. Additional voting details will be announced soon.

RAYE secures the title of the most nominated artist in a single BRITs year with an impressive seven nominations—an unprecedented feat since The BRITs began in 1977. This surpasses the previous record of six held by Gorillaz (2002), Craig David (2001), and Robbie Williams (1999). Recognizing a spectacular year for the independent artist, singer/songwriter, and BRIT School graduate, RAYE is nominated for Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Best New Artist (alongside Mahalia, Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress, and Yussef Dayes), Pop Act, R&B Act, and receives two Song of the Year nominations with Mastercard.

Six-time BRIT winner Dua Lipa garners three nominations this year for Artist of the Year, Pop Act, and Song of the Year with Mastercard. She is also the first artist confirmed to perform on the main show on March 2nd, marking her return to The BRITs stage since 2021.

Central Cee and J Hus both secure four nominations, with Central Cee earning two Song of the Year with Mastercard nods.

Joining RAYE, Dua Lipa, Central Cee, and J Hus in the Artist of the Year category for this year are Arlo Parks, Dave, Fred again.., Jessie Ware, Little Simz, and Olivia Dean.

The Mastercard Album of the Year nominees, with three nods each, include Blur, Little Simz, and Young Fathers. Calvin Harris, Dave, and Olivia Dean also find themselves up for three awards each.

The International Artist of the Year category presents a formidable lineup of global talent, featuring Asake, Burna Boy, Caroline Polachek, CMAT, Kylie Minogue, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and Taylor Swift. Olivia, Miley, and SZA additionally secure nominations for International Song of the Year.

Multiple award nominations are also earned by Fred again.., Mahalia, PinkPantheress, and Yussef Dayes.

2024 marks the return of The Rolling Stones to the BRITs, receiving their first nomination in over a decade. They were previously nominated in 1977, 1995, 1996, and 2013.

Other noteworthy artists nominated for a 2024 BRIT award include Becky Hill, Billie Eilish, CASISDEAD, Charli XCX, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Lewis Capaldi, Noah Kahan, Paramore, Peggy Gou, Rema, Stormzy, Tate McRae, and Tyla.

In December, The BRITs announced The Last Dinner Party as the winner of the 2024 Rising Star supported by BBC Radio 1 award. They join a prestigious list of past winners, including Adele, Florence + The Machine, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Emeli Sandé, Griff, and last year’s recipient, FLO.
